best is still manga. I still can't stand their characters' freaking movement. It feels too stiff and uncanny.

personally, the '97 drops too much and makes it all an incoherent mess, not to mention the constant still frames in any kind of action scene, it just makes it a meh viewing experience, especially when there were series at the time that had proper animation, yet that studio fumbled the bag.

imo it's the details that made the old one much more comprehensible in the storytelling - can't remember incoherent mess
